Welcome to Bartlett Elementary School! I am so proud to be a part of this community and district! I began in Bartlett as the principal for the whole district in 2016! That was an awesome experience because I got to know so many great students from Pre-K through 12th grade! The students are amazing. In 2017, Elementary became my focus and I now serve as the Elementary Principal.

I love Elementary School and I am truly happy to be here. I am super excited because building a strong foundation is important, especially in education. In Elementary we are teaching our students to love learning and to love to be at school. Each new day is an adventure and a whole lot of fun! We look forward to seeing our students grow every single day. Every day is important and we need our students here so they do not miss a day of learning.

We have awesome teachers who work tirelessly to ensure the success of our students. I believe that we have the most positive, hard-working and caring teachers around! I am proud of their willingness to stretch themselves as teachers to offer our students a great education.

So, who am I? I am a country girl that was born and raised just right down the road. After graduating from Rogers High School I attended Abilene Christian University. I earned both an undergraduate and graduate degree. I also attended Texas A&M Central Texas for an additional graduate degree. I have been in education for 19 years. I have been a principal, assistant principal, counselor, teacher and aide. Currently, I reside on my family farm just north of Davilla. My husband, J.R. , and I have two sons and three daughters. I am also the proud "Gigi" to a precious granddaughter! During our free time JR and I love to support our Lassies and Bulldogs. We also enjoy our cows, horses, dogs and chickens!
It is important to me that our families and community know that keeping our students, teachers and staff safe is my most important job. This year may be a challenge but safety is my priority.
